The Royal Academy of Dance’s Faculty of Education offers a wide range of education and training opportunities.

Training to be an RAD Teacher

The Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies is a 2-year distance learning programme which is administered by the RAD UK, and is run in many countries, including New Zealand.

The Diploma in Dance Teaching Studies is aimed at dance teachers working across a wide range of professional contexts.  It is a new 2-year distance learning programme administered by the RAD UK.

If you are an IDTA Associate and would like to become a Mutually Recognised Teacher, Royal Academy of Dance, under the RAD/IDTA Agreement, please contact the office for more information.

Continuing Professional Development

The Royal Academy of Dance CPD programme is being developed and piloted by the Faculty of Education in the UK.  Further information will be available in due course.
